The room was warm, but the WiFi was practically non-existent.

My stay at The Mill Forge was truly delightful. The friendly, attentive staff ensured everything went smoothly during our wedding celebration. The beautiful grounds created a picturesque backdrop for photos. Although the room was quite hot at times, the overall experience was memorable.

The gardens were stunning and the playground was a hit for the kids! We felt very welcomed throughout our stay.

This place perfectly suits my needs. I enjoy the free Wi-Fi, welcoming bar area, and excellent restaurant. I remember on my first stay, the staff helped me with a phone charger, which was memorable. The friendly staff consistently provide great service.

the staff were super friendly n helpful, made us feel so welcome. the breakfast was really good, plenty of options, yum! the location is nice n quiet, perfect for chillin. room was clean n comfy, definitely what we needed after a long drive. loved seeing the weddings, made it a nice vibe.

the property seems a bit dated, could use some updating. also, the water pressure in the shower wasn't great.

We stayed two nights for my niece's wedding. The staff was super friendly and helped with everything! The food was amazing, especially the Scottish breakfast. The gardens are stunning for photos. Just a heads up, don’t expect late-night snacks. food stops serving at 8. But really, everything else was just perfect!

Had an amazing time with friends exploring Dumfries and Ellisland Farm. The gardens were beautiful and perfect for photos. Rooms were clean and the breakfast was tasty with plenty of options. Loved the charm and quiet setting. Great for relaxation and walks.

One friend had trouble with the reception staff when checking in, they seemed unhelpful and didn’t care much about room allocation, which was frustrating for our group.

Our stay was unforgettable, especially with the stunning bridal suite that welcomed us with chocolates and champagne. The staff were incredibly attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly throughout our visit, and the gardens provided perfect backdrops for photos. We truly appreciated the lovely dining experience, especially at breakfast where the variety was impressive. some staff seemed a bit inexperienced during the evening meal service, which could use improvement.

Food in the bar was excellent, but breakfast was quite basic.

The staff here really go above and beyond to make your stay lovely. We even had the joy of a lovely piper who piped everyone into the ceremony, it was just very nice, gave me goosebumps.

It was a bit pricey but honestly worth every penny.
